20.03.18 The world sits down to eat at the Thurgau University of Teacher Education
A colourful international group of guest students from all over the world enters and leaves the Thurgau University of Teacher Education every day. The students come from China, Northern Ireland, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Israel and Bolivia. National and international networking with other Universities in the field of teacher education together with student's mobility is actively put in practice at the Thurgau University of Teacher Education. The North-South partnership programme with the Escuela Superior de Formación de Maestros Simón Bolívar (ESFMSB) in La Paz, Bolivia which was established in 2010 is part of this network. The partnership includes an exchange programme for students for two weeks between the Bolivian University and the Thurgau University of Teacher Education.
The student council organized an international event inviting people to meet and to get to know each other with the heading «Taste the World». The students brought along food from their respective countries. In addition, the guest students from Bolivia gave a stimulating talk about customs, cultures, languages and education, health and social services in their home country.
