22.04.22 Storytelling, Making & Performing – Creative language bath and intercultural encounters in the context of the study week «Rhythm&Form»

Already for the fifth time (!) Maria Vinney (University of Winchester) and Dr. Alastair Daniel (University of Roehampton) have been leading a four-day workshop in English at PHTG within the framework of a European staff mobility, thus enriching the offer of the study week «Rhythm&Form» in the study program Primary Education.

This time, five students from Winchester were part of the group. Together with five students from the PHTG and 2 exchange students, they first dealt intensively and creatively with the artist Paul Klee. Inspired by Klee's works, imaginative puppets were then made from a wide range of materials and using a variety of techniques. In addition to art, the 4-day workshop also focused on storytelling. As a conclusion of the week, the students created a touching and beautiful story in the form of a shadow theater, which was told and performed without words and only with music in the background.

The international office would like to thank the two lecturers for their great commitment and the enthusiasm they display every year. They make a valuable contribution to making PHTG a place for creative, international encounters.
